The Sun, The Waves And Other Things

Soft blue wavelets
Gleam shrilly in sunlight
Flashing gently
In pinpoints of beauty
Cascading in harmony.
A cool splash of water
Comforts hard rock and
That stubborn silhouette,
Shielded in shadow,
Will soon melt and then smile
At the blue sky above.
Waves break over sand
In snowy white laughter,
Caressing so carefully,
Teasing tumbling pebbles
Which roll in pursuit to
Float freely in the blue,
Dancing weightless on the surface.
There's a seagull over there
Walking on the water,
Happy to be
Part of life's natural splendour.
